RE: SBI, 7/23/04.
3 WSB, 30# plus drifting the north point, in the wind 1PM to 3PM, Sat.24th, 12 to 14 fathoms. Seabass fishing can be so fickle, only my second score of the year. More fur than I care to count and seagulls diving on the bait tank, a wind drift requireing 12 oz. sinker on dropper loop, fishing solo. Gaffing a very wanted fish solo, also a test of ones metal. The winds were a trifle worring through the night and the mind is the worst ememy. Wind didlay down enough for a nice ride back to Sunset at 6 AM Sunday.

RE: SBI, 7/23/04.
Lemme see now . . . . . light blue boat right? Man I thought you were working over the sand there for Halibut. DOH! Yeah, you were back and forth and back and forth alright. Was blowin' pretty good at that time. I came and took a look see a few times . . . I saw the guy on the anchor there nail one WSB . . . Drifted inside him a couple times for nothing. I like finding my own fish!
You went inside and anchored pretty early right? Too many boats to keep an eye on.
Congratulations on a fine day!
John.
