I CAN'T BELIEVE WHAT I JUST SAW!
I'm not a believer yet, but I'm not a skeptic any more!!
Human beings, who are unique in their ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their disinclination to do so.

I'm with you Jim, I'm very skeptical myself, as IMO, he's a horribly inaccurate passer.
However, he seems to get the job done.
And the Bronco defense sure stepped it up today.

re: Tim Tebow
I was skeptical, too...mainly because of all the hooplah.
But dont forget: This is only his second year as a pro. and training camp & pre-season this year were non-existant for his growth as a pro QB. give him a couple of years.

re: Tim Tebow
I do not understand...he losses the last three regular season games including one horrific performance where he throws four picks in the final quarter and you do not hear squat...he wins a wild card game against a hobbled big ben and here comes the messaih talk again
I have nothing against the guy and only time will tell if he will be one of the great players. He is a fierce competitor and I hope he excels.. However.....let's talk about Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady or Drew Brees if you want to talk excellence in the qb position. I also think Tebow mania has masked another great story this year which is Cam Newton....keep your eye on that young man!

I agree with you 100% there Oakey. The last time the media went crazy on Tebow, Eli Manning had a much better comeback, and it wasn't reliant upon the kicker, as Tebow's was in said game.
Drew Brees is having a spectacular season, as is Mr Rodgers. Heck, Matthew Stafford is having a better year than Tebow.
And yes, Cam Newton is someone to watch.

re: Tim Tebow
Missing the point...
The Denver Broncos moves on in the playoffs. The Steelers are done. Each win, as ugly as they are shows charater. For the first year playing, this guy has the will to win. And he is only going to get better. Most of his wins were come from behind. He adds one major dimention to the quarterback position, a halfback.

re: Tim Tebow
I was unable to watch the game, The only thing they want to cover here is the BCS bowl. So was it just Tebo had a great game or was it a saving driveor play?

re: Tim Tebow
He had a methodical game against one of the best defenses in the NFL. Big Ben was obviously hurting but still brought his team back from a deficit.
The first play in OT was...well....it will be on ESPN all day today. The only question is: did T-Bo call an audible at the line when he saw the pittsburg defensive alignment?
and, no. t-bo isnt "the messiah" - except for the diehard bronco fans. He's just someone who was playing and winning on sunday afternoon in the playoffs. If he wasn't, we wouldnt be talking about him.
will the patriots pick him apart next week?

re: Tim Tebow
Well, the Patriots do not have a great defense...but Tebow and his offense will need to put up 35 points to keep up with the Patriots, and I do not see that happening. I believe the last time they played which was a month ago the Pats won by three touchdowns. Patriots are going to kill them.

re: Tim Tebow
Tebow is a much more interesting story to the media because the media loves to destroy people after they build them up. If and when Tebow fails (everyone does), the media starts another storyline and sells more of their product.
Storylines on Tebow:
1. Can a running QB be a winner in the NFL?
2. Did the Broncos create a draft "bust" by drafting him?
3. Will Elway keep him?
4. All of the praying and "glory to God" issues.
5. Is he as lilly white as he seems?
I guarantee you if he's found to be wanting, especially in the religious arena, the media will crucify him.
As far as football is concerned, Cam Newton is having a rookie of the year season, BUT the Panthers aren't in the playoffs and Newton has none of the above mentioned issues.
Personally I like the "new" type of QB coming into the league. I like the running QB and think it will bring more excitement. Defenses will have to start playing a little bit slower and more structurally sound in order to stop a QB who presents a schemed running threat. That's how a mediocre offense like Denver's has been able to compete.
My prediction is New England 38 Denver 10 for this weekend.
