Trout Time

Thought I would post up a little report from last week.
Been fishing Southern Utah for Trout. Caught the heck out of them in the lake and the creek. My biggest so far this spring is a 22" Rainbow.

re: Trout Time

Those are thick bows. Been a while since I fished for trout. I have to re-visit this type of fishing...if not for the scenery. Thanks.

I don't recall seeing trout that fat in a long time. Those are some toads!

Catch'em, let'em go and catch'em again!

re: Trout Time

Ye there are fat trout in the lake and the creek this year. The few that I have taken to eat have had big giant Crawdads in them. There meat is pink as salmon.

The really fun part is almost all these fish make a huge jump as soon as they are hooked. There are Rainbow, Cutthroat, Browns, Tigers,Small Mouth and Wipers in the 1000 acre lake.[No Carp!] You can only take one fish a day and it has to be at least 22". No bait, lures only. These photos were taken on Memorial weekend. Check out all the boat traffic on the lake.

re: Trout Time

Beautiful fish! Like footballs with fins, only the fins are really big. I would love to play with those. We don't get anything close to that around here, maybe Crowley or Bridgeport if we're lucky.
