I have a 1983 Skipjack 20 ft open fisherman.
The door(s) for the cuddy cabin are falling apart.
It is (2) pieces, wood laminate, hinged, overlaps when opened, and secured with a strap.
The screws securing the hinges to the door are coming out because the wood(press board)is falling apart & worn.
Any ideas for replacement ?
Has anybody manufactured their own ?

I've had a couple of Skippys and replaced both wood doors with Starboard doors, custom made. I just don't like the maintenance factor of exterior wood on an ocean boat.

Here's a pic of my new door on my 28'er, just installed prior to cleaning it up yesterday:

I had Drew at SeaPro make it by just matching my old door parts. SeaPro is in CM, and he does good work, but he's also expensive!

Looks like a Quality job, probably last the life of the boat with very little maint.....Cheap is not always in-expensive
