Hi Cory,
Do you have any examples of "Technology Patents" that Big Oil will not allow to be developed? Thanks in advance for educating me on this important issue.
David
Well how about all high gas milage carbourators that never make it to market? Just for one example.
I worked six months for an electric car company in the 1990's, the owner/developer had every road block in the world thrown his way, including threats to his family, etc. Big oil didn't want it and so it didn't happen. They set early milage, and performance records long before any of the big car companies, had better batteries, higher horse power, greater range, etc. all sabotaged.
Also I worked five years for a foreign company that had state of the art technology on composites and centrifigal force. A multi billion dollar company. They did a big road show on their break through for replacing the gas engine. A year later never heard a word, rumor was the rights were purchased and the project died. I can give you more, but for what purpose. The oil companies own the world, and all the politicians, and all the technology that would reduce the demand for oil.
They said long ago if oil ever rose above $50 a barrel there would be plenty of alternative fuels available, so now it's a $130 and still no break throughs, you tell me that's all BS. Sorry I don't buy it!
Our politicians have no huevos, those that stand up to big oil are quickly put in their place, bet on it!
I don't know what the answer is, but the world better take notice, and do something with the oil industry or utter chaos is a high probability. We have not come close to seeing the impact, inflation is going to start going crazy. Thousands of things we buy are petroleum based, freight costs and air transport costs are out of sight and rising every day. Also everyday our vendors announce price increases, which we haven't been able to pass on, but will have to soon.
My company has a dozen trucks, our fuel costs alone will soon put us out of business if we can't raise prices. Every vendor is charging a fuel surcharge. Unemployment will soon be a horrendous issue.
Something must be done. Someone has to find an answer. Big oil needs a wake up call!
