Anyone been up to the Seacliff area or the oil island? Is the kelp in thick? Thanks for the update.

I haven't been up there receintly butI heard the there is very little kelp in there now.

Thanks for responding. I live in OC but my mother lives in Ventura. When I get up there I like to go up that direction. Haven't been in awhile. Used to be good for calicos and the occassional white seabass. I saw a report on a kayak fishing site of a guy holding a large thresher with the oil island pier in the background. Must be a fair amount of bait. Ever need a fishing partner to share costs let me know. If I can coordinate it with a visit and you're open to it let me know.
