It's a Must Stop on any E.Sierra Trip, along with Schott's Bakery of course.

They also have Fantastic Meats(the Thick-sliced Bacon is My Favorite),and Smoked Salmon on occasion too... :p

I agree, their selection is awesome! Just reading about that bacon makes my mouth water.

Home made Jerky is by far the best. Buy a quality London Broil and take your time carving it. Experiement with marinades and flavors till you find your own recipe and work on the timing of your dehydration. Last summer I was making about 10lbs a week. Gave alot away. Stopped making it after my gout flared up something fierce!..No bueno.

+1 for Mahogany. They just switched over from Fed Ex to UPS so they have better shipping rates. Also, if you subscribe to their mailing list they send 10% off coupons every so often.

I was just up there and they are now adding a deli ( June 2008 ) so if your passing through Bishop, grab a sandwich.

Double smoked bacon :)

Mahogany Smoked Meats

I always stop there on the way home for their bacon and pork chops. Chops are already cooked and smoked just throw them on a grill to add some grill marks.

Next I stop at Indian Wells brewery for their root beer.

Traditional home from the Sierra's dinner is BLT'S with root beer floats!!!!
