Question to my fellow boat owner Allcoasters... I run a 25 ft. Skip out of HH, but have lived & fished near Dana Point for thirty years... I would like to know if any slip berthed Allcoaster in DP would be willing to rent out or barter use of their slip for a March weekend they will not be using it...? I would like to do a combo whale watch/fish trip with my grandson & other friends... thanks!

Hi Mike, thanks for the reply... was hoping to get something cheaper than $30 a night or even do a slip for slip (HH for DP)trade since fuel costs will rival a roundtrip run to Cat from HH... thanks!

It sucks that they raised the fee. I used the guest slips a lot last year until they increased the fee. Now forget it! Damn county.

If you've got a dink, there are great anchorages on both ends of the harbor, completely protected and calm. What do you need a slip for, for a weekend? Of course it's nice plugging in, but back when I had my skippy, the guest docks were always full when I escorted the Dana Outrigger race, so I just anchored up, and took the dink where ever I needed to go!

West Basin Anchorage
There is an anchorage available in the West Basin. Boats are welcome for 72 hours but should not be left for long periods unattended. There is a drift current and the Harbor Patrol checks on the length of your stay ashore and may let you know you've been gone too long!
East Basin Anchorage
There is also an anchorage available in the East Turning Basin between the fuel dock and the bait barge. Again, boats are welcome for 72 hours but should not be left for long periods unattended. There is a drift current and the Harbor Patrol checks on the length of your stay ashore and may let you know you've been gone too long!
