Went to the domes in my 25 ft. trophy on Monday and the bones were everywhere. They were about 4-6 miles out. Off the hook biting. Find the birds and dolphins and your on the fish, everywhere and I mean everywhere... They were all about 8- 15 lb. fish, the best part is you can catch them on just about anything in your tacklebox, but flylining a dine seems to be the best choice. We only fished for about 3 hours and landed at least 25 only kept 4 and returned the rest for all you other fishermen to catch. Took the wife out and the water was rough, she got a little weezie so we cut it short but still had a blast. If your waiting for the summer bite well I guess its about to start, grab a pole and get out there.

Thanks for the report. We were out yesterday as well. We managed about 10 total in two hours and called it quits. We kept 3 and released the rest. Ours went from 9 to 12 lbs. They were fun to land on 12 pound test. If you have a chance get out and have some light tackle action. Deans were the hot ticket as well as slow trolled blue and white Bonita feathers.

Seems some tried to go back out and catch a few more bones on tuesday. When were out the fish seemd to be concentrated between large flocks of birds and not just scatered out individuals, try to put your boat between larger numbers of birds. When we drifted past the larger flocks, the bite died off, we had to fire the motors up and get back into the middle of the birds. Think I might take the son back out on Sunday and try for a few more.
