We have two bigger systems that could hit us. One Friday night/Saturday and an even bigger one for Sunday night/Monday. Things will change as we get closer I'm sure.
I was thinking of doing the same thing but it's looking nasty sat on the ride back rain and wind not fun in a center console. My plan is point loma west bluff safe and close, never hooped there so I might do a quick trip thursday, if I get some I'll be back fri to do some real damage.
I need to get back to my honey hole at Catalina, but the weather looks like it is going to be ugly! I planning on netting between Dana and Clemente, Fri. evening.
FRI
WIND LIGHT AND VARIABLE...BECOMING W 10 KT. WIND WAVES 1 FT
OR LESS. SWELL W 6 TO 9 FT AT 15 SECONDS. PATCHY FOG IN THE MORNING.
FRI NIGHT
WIND VARIABLE 5 TO 10 KT. WIND WAVES 1 FT OR LESS.
SWELL W 5 TO 8 FT. SLIGHT CHANCE OF RAIN AFTER MIDNIGHT.
I dont mind swell its wind that will kill ya. The incoming is at around 5PM I should be done and gone by 8PM. and its only 18 miles comming downhill all the way home into Angeles Gate no danger of swell taking over that enterance of that port.
Just make sure if you plan on hooping the backside you stay in deep water or you might get a surprise! High surf advisory until Saturday for Catalina. Otherwise good luck.
Backside? I would'nt go back there if you payed me! I dont need squid so I dont need to go back there heck I dont even need to be on the weather side (West) of the front side.
