I'm heading over to Catalina Saturday morning. Does anyone know where the squid boats have been hanging out? I was hoping to buy some of the live stuff as opposed to fishing the frozen. Your advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

As ususal, you'll most likely find the light boats out in front and to the east of Avalon. Some activity may be at Empire, especially if the float is late. Turn on your radio to channel 11 and listen or give a hail.
