Started fishing at 7am with a half scoop of sardines and a couple of guys from work who dont fish much.As soon as i got out of newport bay saw some birds workin slid in on them thinkin it might be bones but ended up being bunk.A kayaker swam out to us and said he saw and hooked a small thresher.Anyways headed to the corona kelp and got a couple of small sandies on the clear and red aa's.My buddies really wanted to catch some spotties.So i headed in and we managed five sandies and a bat ray on the 3 inch christmas tree big hammers.The biggest bass was a 13 inch sandie from the coast guard dock.5000
