I don't know why you're complaining, Davies has the cleanest bathrooms around. Bathrooms aside it's not a bad place to launch and the parking is pretty good. Considering the other options, I'll pay the $10.

I no longer launch at Davies, rather Huntington.
It's a pick your poison for me, with Huntington the lesser of 2 evils.
They maintain the Davies facilities with a minimum effort IMO.
And that's over extending my words.
I wonder if this raise in price coincides with the fact SOMEONE
thinks more boaters will now launch there because there are no
bait barges/facilities on the west end any longer?
Davies at low-tide is a nightmare!

which launch ramp is "davies?" i usually launch out of newport or sunset aquatic. i have launched out of another spot that is next to an overpass. the launch ramp is steep and the tieoff dock is paralell to the waters edge. the parking is right there and if i remember right there is also wash down stations. the entrance is near two intersections and a yacht broker is on one of the corners. is this davies?

p.s. is the reason it sucks to launch there at low tide due to slime on the ramp and low water?

You are correct on both accounts, but to be honest I have never had a problem launching or retrieving my boat at low tide.

That sucks. I like Davies. How much is sunset aquatic? I'll have to start going there now.
