I have heard so many differnet numbers on this one that I am at a loss.

Some say 10 bag limit per person others say 5. I have heard you can sink the boat with em.

What is the official DFG reg on this one?

Commercial fisherman can sink the boat with Dorado.
No more than 10 of any one species in your daily bag limit of 20 fish.
Dorado fall under this, a 10 fish daily limit.

But I beleive you can only keep 5 under 24".
Please correct me if I am wrong, but pretty sure this is with ALL tunas and Yellowtail.

I have never seen a Dorado under 24 inches, never.
There's no size limit on Dorado.
They fall under the REGS of 27.60 as I mentioned above.

Just last week, Kathy and I scored 21 mahi but released 17 of them using circle hooks over 3-days fishing U.S. waters. Best to let 'em go and only take what you need.

like jsea said, it's 10 per day. and if i caught 10, and could properly ice them and preserve the meat, i'd keep 10 in a heart beat. i've been led to believe that those fish grow VERY fast, and have a relatively short life-span. i'd rather have them dying in my boat and getting eaten then dying out in the ocean. but again, i'd only keep that many if i could properly care for them.
