My 11-yr-old son and I are taking our first fishing trip to Alaska in late July. We will be on a Yes Bay Lodge saltwater guided trip so I have no worries about gear, techniques ect. I realize we will have likely missed the King peak, but, am hoping the Silvers and Chums will be around. If anybody here has fished in the Yes Bay (Behm Canal) area in late July for salmon and halibut I would love to hear about what we should expect. Is the fishing fast and furious or, should we plan on hours of boat rides with some bites mixed in now and then?
