Went out with a golfing buddy today, Big Dave. Launched at 5:15 from Davies and headed up the line. Stopped at the LB gap for nothing and next stop was Fermin at 58.6 degrees. Just a 6 degree drop since Monday. No biters there so kept goin !!It was a very slow pic but the fish we did get were nice quality. First fish was a nice sandie at 3 1/2 lb, then a 3 1/2 calico, 4# sandie, and one just under 6 #.Got 3 lings-one at 25 in, 2 Reds, 2 brown rockfish, 1 sculpin and finally a couple big bass. Too bad they were BLACK seabass. Daves was 12# and mine was 7 #. Both released unharmed after a lip hook as were all the rest of the fish today. The hot color today was 5 in. Halloween. Will get the pics up tomorrow-not much wind til 11:00am and up to 10-12 at 2:00pm. water got up to 60.9 in the afternoon.

Hi Lal,

Thanks for the report. Bummer on the water temp. I hope it's a bit warmer to the south.

I'm shoot'n for a 0530 splash. I have a small window to fish so I will stay on my local HB stones.

Questions,
Is it a good thing to hang small BSB to weigh them :?
Is there any benifit to know a exact weight vs. an estimate
+ or - a couple pounds.
Can they be unhooked in the water with needle nose and a quick twist.
Any of you guys know the best way to handle a baby BSB ?

Just wondering :?
