Heard a report from a gentleman reporting 2 very large GWS
next to his boat. This guy sounded excited/scared in his voice tone.

Sounded like this;

PB (private boater) I want to report some GWS off HB
CG (Coast Guard) Are you in immediate danger ?
PB No.
PB You need to get in touch with the lifeguards to warn surfers and swimmers !
CG Stand by

After a few minutes;
CG Man reporting GW's off HB come in.
PB ------------

Garble Garble Garble

All broken up and I could not copy any more.
Dam ; Should have jumped on a sailboat for a better signal.

Anybody else hear the report :?

Many reports from many different areas...most very credible. The conditions seem right, with colder water and LOTS of food (pinnipeds) around. This is a good thing (IMHO), but it's time to think about when and where you get in the ocean.

What a moron. No, seriously, WHAT A MORON!!!!!!!!!!!! "I just saw a seagull, call the CG, STAT! They need to know that bird droppings damage paint and smell bad.. HURRY!!!!" Where's Jack from 24 when you need him?? Idiot- take his radio away. The best thing about GW's is that they are everywhere, this is an area that they live and feed in, same as the anchovy..

re: Great White Report Off Huntington ! ! ! DINNER BELL IS RINGING!!!

Hey DR,

I?m not surprised by the recent reports of GWS in the Huntington

Beach area (including one reported attack), specifically offshore of

S. Bolsa Chica and Huntington Cliffs. The inshore oil platform Emmy

is absolutely loaded with shark tucker. The rig and surrounding

waters have a large colony including babies and big ?knot heads?.

Tight lines,
Steve

Given that the GWS attack in SD recently was found to be "active feeding" rather than the usual "single test bite" I am not surprised the Taxman is getting more respect these days. Who knows...maybe we are the other white meat. 8*

McCann needs to look in a mirror...these reports could save someone's ass out there,,,expecially, a free diver on an outside reef...two in one area is a heads up alert for sure....I posted a warning on the dive sites after 3 coastal incidents recently...two days later, one of the guys was buzzed up close by a big one off Carlsbad..he was alert, due to the warning and saw it first...may have saved his bacon..keep the reports coming...
