I will be headed out to catalina or San Clemente sunday night fishing monday the 3rd. I was wonderingif anyone knew of which place would be better and if there is possibility of making if not purchasing squid or if your just going to have to use fin baits. I will be on a 2520 Parker(FORSALE)with a call sign of Rig'd N Ready (although the boat hasnt been named yet) thanks for the input and I look foward to dishing with all of you. Jeff & Ted

Jerry & I are doing the ...

same thing. We're on "YOUNG GUNS", 32' Blackfin.

Probably leave Marina del Rey early afternoon Sunday and try to find somewhere to anchor up at Catalina. I understand the weather at Clemente may be blowing, and a lot of the island will be shut down
(Navy).

I admittedly don't know a lot about Catalina - anchorages, current fishing, ... I'll keep checking the Internet for info.

I'll be scanning 19, 68, 72, 7, ... . Give a call, if we find anything I'll let you know, and visa / versa.

Finding an anchorage may be iffy at best. 4th of July long weekend makes for pretty crowded island.

Anyway, maybe we'll see ya over there.

Good luck, and

Getem', Capt'n Skip
