I have been playing with another application, and have had boils, even hooked one once but it got off.
I stand at the stern, and while the captain orders a chumline on the porpoise/birdschool type fishing of Cowtown or the island buffer zone, let it back, and when I see boils, raise the rod and wind to make it skip.
Check with captain and crew to see if it's ok to do, but so far they have allowed me to do this.
But yes, mostly a helium balloon application.

I tried that same thing in Dec and January off Mag Bay. No takers, Jason feels the yummee really works best in places where the tuna have been seeing real flyers, like Hurricane or the islands.
Can't find the one I thought I brought back he had rigged with the treble stinger, do you have the hook and size so I can order a few??

re: A rigged Baby Yummee

Question about the trap hook? I know catching smaller tuna on iron jigs the trebles seem to fall out fairly easily- at least it seems that all of the iron caught yellowfins that I've taken the jigs falls out as the fish hits the deck. Is it maybe the jig that allows the fish to work the trebles out?
