I have a boat and i plan on re nameing it...can i name it anything i want..and do i have to register it under said name...i wanted to name it the "master" baiter.. or the blood vessel < i had a brain anyurism and stroke 1 year ago> And i want to know if i have to get insurance for it...i dont know...i have asked other people some have said yes, some have said no....can you guys help me??

yes, as long as it isn't a documented vessel..ca state registered and you can name it anything you want

And i want to know if i have to get insurance for it.

not required, but recomended
