Any suggestions on where to jig bait outside dana or Newport? I usually launch out of San Pedro, and am picking up my buddy in Irvine.

Lots of guys head for the barber poles straight out from Dana. I've had better luck near the Red whistle bouy in 70' right off the point.

I will load up inside of this, around 50' so long as there's not too much kelp. Tight lines...

If your going out of Newport, try the end of the jetty, take popcorn or cherrios to chum the water with, use lucky joe's and the mackeral will be all around you in no time at all.
