I'm just an Average Guy,.....with an average Income........
I buy most of my Rods & Reels off the Rack. After all....I'm Lucky to use them once a Month & maybe one Long-Range per year.....
So,I have to Applaud Turners Sporting Goods for what they've done for Me the last 2 times I've been there.....
PROP#1 ....
A few Month's ago,My Favorite Bass Rod,"Old Faithful" if you will,a California Calico Special, broke for no apparent reason.......
I bought Her 10 yrs. ago and had caught everything from 80# MudMarlin to 40#YT on it,as well as 100's of the intended Species and it cast plastic like a dream and had the kinda backbone to bring Fish in......Matched with a Penn 535gs,it was My Go-to combo for many years.....
They replaced it,no questions asked, with a Comparable Rod as mine was no longer made........
...
PROP#2 ...
Last weekend, after battling a few Barracuda and while fighting a 4-5lb Grumpy at Hermosa Reef,my Diawa Coastal Inshore rod broke about 18" from the tip......Matched with a Calcutta 200,it was also a Favorite setup......
They replaced it,with a 7' model, (mine was 7'9") ,No Questions....
Bottom Line......If You can't afford Custom-Wrapped Monogrammed Rods & Gold-plated-Tweaked, Bad Ass Reels....Just buy Good,Named-brand Stuff & You'll be Fishing for a LONG TIME .....
