I flew my brother in from Montana (he moved out there a few years back) and we went to the island for a few days last week with my family. Got squid from the de de marie and checked out the WSB on the backside v's, no luck. After geting blown off the backside in the 13 whaler, we went around into calmer waters and my son Curtis nailed this nice Hali, 32 inches. This Butt was upset from the second he was hooked, and Curtis brought him up (he was still green). I could seen it 10 feet down, open mouth and shaking its head with violence, The fish was not a happy camper.

The next day we went west and had a great pic on the the calicos.

We were on the can in avalon and the big black seabass was swimming around the mooring line, must have been a few hundred pounds. I fed him some squid. We saw him again the next day as well. Awesome sight.
