The best theropy is a rocking boat and casting the long rod.
It's going to kill me to not fish the long rod, but I will bring mine and let you throw it for me Bill OK?

Seriously, thanks to everyone for their good thoughts and prayers. Had the surgery Friday at 4:30 and was in my room by 8:00. Arthritic Cyst on my spinal column between L 4 and 5. Acted just like a disc issue on the MRI until they got in there. Removed it and the disc was healthy and no other bone issues. The sharp stabbing pain is gone and the numbness is getting better, that will take time. If I get my strength back I will go on the RR3 trip. That is my goal. I will be the non-fishing consultant. That will be according to Dr's orders.
Hey I am very greatful for a beautiful wife, family and Allcoast family. You guys are the best!

Good news. Was the cyst attaching itself to the nerve, or was it just putting pressure
on it ? Glad to hear you caught it in time so it was removable without nerve damage.
Wayne the cyst was infringing on the nerve and spinal column, they got it all and didn't have to touch the nerve or the disc.

Bill, welcome to the L4-L5 club. Been there, done that with a disc injury 12 years ago. Pain in the leg and some numbness. Not as big a problem as my dumbness.;) I had to be off from work for six months to rest and let it heal. Sounds like the operation was a big success; so get some rehab and back to it. When you're off work and in Physical Therapy, you're a professional weight lifter. Those tuna are still not safe!

Fantastic News Willy, Its great news to hear. As far as the trip, there are many more trips in the future for you. Best to heal up completely to insure proper healing. Why rush it an end up missing the rest of the year or years. Either way, you will be with us if not in body, but thoughts.
