Left my place at 4:30 to Davies. Stopped at the wall for no bites so continued up the line. Got to Fermin and saw lots of birds crashing so headed out towards them. They were moving fast, hard to catch up to them with a 2-3 ft swell at 2 seconds apart. Finally got to them, a huge school of Baby Dolphins with a few moms and dads mixed in. Watched them alongside the boat and finally took off for bass country !!
Started up by the golf course and drifted in circles, no current. Very slow but a few here and there plus some rockfish. About 9 the wind started with whitecapps in 5 minutes. Stayied til 1:00ish and called it a day with 35 bass, 10 calicos-25 sandies, 7 rockfish, 2 mackeral, and a short halibut. It was fun to get out with all the bad weather were had this last week. Missed the WSB bite , too rough for my little boat on Sat.

Boy, those temps look good! Can't wait for the barries and bones. Sorry I had to bail. I'm on the Vancomycin/Zosyn/Sulfa whatever septic shock recovery rollercoaster for a loved one. This really blows.

Had the same Deal on Sunday myself ,Lal....

Saw Tons of Bait Shimmering on the surface with Nothing under them.
Dolpin/Porpoise everywhere.....Birds diving on Baitballs.....

Nothing,......just picked a few Sandies & a short Ling at the Pipe...
Got Farmed twice on the Spectra though,...Lings I think.....
Woulda',coulda',shoulda',......

Gotta love the water temps climbing so fast, goofy conditions, and very chilly for late May. Other than the size, nothing over 2.25 lbs, it was better bass'n than our last three trips. Can't wait to pull on a tail or tuna, soon, soon!

Thanks for the report. I am glad you guys were able to have a great day on the water. Summer is just around the bend and so are the Tuna. Can't wait!
