West SB Chn Buoy at 4pm shows good sailing conditions.

Wind Direction (WDIR): NW ( 320 deg true )
Wind Speed (WSPD): 33.0 kts
Wind Gust (GST): 40.8 kts
Wave Height (WVHT): 24.9 ft
Dominant Wave Period (DPD): 15 sec
Average Period (APD): 9.4 sec
Mean Wave Direction (MWDIR): NW ( 306 deg true )
Atmospheric Pressure (PRES): 29.92 in

That's just plain stupid wave height!

It's screaming in front of MDR also, but only 14 foot waves.

Wind Speed (WSPD): 33.0 kts
Wind Gust (GST): 42.7 kts
Wave Height (WVHT): 14.1 ft

I was on the boat today in the slip and thought I was in a hurricane! Very interesting day Mama Nature planned for us!

Hello John. Hope you have been well.

Right now, 9PM the tanner is 24ft gusting to 45 kts! Do you recall that huge break on the Cortes Bank when the surfer set a world record for the highest wave ever ridden? That day the buoys were reading 26ft, but there was no wind.

Do you see the surface turbulence at the lower center of the picture? That is the turbulence from a ship wreck...

i've spent about 20 nights within 100ft of where that surfer is.

I suspect that it is cresting upwards of 50ft on that spot right now.

I wish i was anchored in Pyramid Cove tonight, it would be awesome!
