I was out fishing near Catilina of Sat. Someone who was fishing for Marlin gave out some numbers for a spot of kelp with Dodos jumping all over it. The numbers were 24, and 02. What does that mean? Would that be 118 24'W, and 33 02'N, or am I just lost? Later I heard another set of numbers 40, & 58. Someone please tell me, or PM me. I feel left out.

You have it correct,the numbers called out are the lower numbers.

Actually, when those numbers are called out, there are usually in the sequence of the up and then the out. Based on that, your first set of numbers puts you outside the 14, and the second set put's you on the 43. Bill
