I need to talk with Skip. I need technical advice on a possible trawler in MDR.
I sent an e-mail via allcoast system.
If anyone can contact Skip for me, thank you in advance.

John - feel free to move or not move this post. I had no other idea as to how to get a hold of Skip.

Nice Trader you have there.....did'nt I see you out there over Buc Day's?
RE: Trawler info/Buc Days

Yes, we were there sitting on G-2. Notice what's flying from the yard arm! We had a great time until about 2:00AM when we rode back on the shore boat and found a 40 some foot Ocean SF up against our port side with no fenders out. The older couple were holding onto the rails of our boat watching their stainless rub rail grind the crap out the side of my boat. It was a super low tide at the time and a ton of current. I had to call the harbor patrol to pull them back on the mooring ball so they could tighten up the stern line on the SF. The owners stated that the boats were making contact for almost two hours and did nothing. Hammered and angry, we crashed for the night. The next morning (Sunday after Buc) they were gone by the time we got up. Harbor patrol said both boats were loose, so it was a tie on who messed up whom although they pulled up a ton of slack on the stern of the other boat. I figured that dealing with insurance would do no good as the damage was cosmetic. I am very cautious on tide and current and adjust accordingly. But yes we were there! I think were were next to your boat on Charlie or delta a few times. Stop by for a cold one next time you see us there. Dan

Dan, Sorry about the rub rail problems......got to minneys and stock up on large salmon egg balls, and bumper bumber bumper! We had Bill Larkin's boat on our hip, Playing Hookey there, however if you saw a ten way side tie dingy cruise on Saturday afternoon with gas powered blenders roaring........that was us! :D

Wils, you have PM.

Bill
Oh yea, I saw the flotilla of drunken dingy pirates, that was classic. If I knew we were going to get uninvited side-tie guests, I would have put 2 dozen fenders on both sides. I guess it should be automatic during Buc Days! LMAO! All of our big â??Ballsâ?? were stashed away because we had â??Guestsâ?? on the boat one afternoon. RLMAON. I broke my custom â??Swordâ?? that night but commandeered a better one from a wench later on who â??tradedâ??!!! Dan on SurReel
