Hi

I never launched out of cabrillo before. What is the situation there with car break ins/vandalism. I don't leave valuable sin my truck but was wondering.

I've parked there an average 30-40 times a year for over 20 years with no problems. You have as much chance of your vehicle being broken into in front of your house as you do at Cabrillo....

Cabrillo is gnarly to look at and launch- it is like they have prison BBQ's hosted there- a lot of scary, tatooed, drunk, high dirtbags. Sunday afternoons are comical there- too much fun to watch, annoying as anything to deal with. But.. I have been launching there for over 15 years and no theft problems at all- Now MDR and Shelter are another story..! The local homies at MDR are into vandalism and Shleter is well known for theft.

Have not had a problem there, but then again never overnite I launch @ 5:30am return @ 4:00pm. My '04 Tacoma has a alarm and the chain for my trailer has a good American lock.
