I'm only a recent, new lurker and poster here, but I have seen prayer requests posted and I know the power of prayer. I pray for others when asked, and I hope you'll honor my requests for prayers for my Dad right now.
My Dad is 67 years old, battling emphysema and a very weak heart for the last 5 years.
Last week he went in for an angiogram (risky procedure due to his current heart health) and a few days later developed a staph infection. It's blown up the right side of his face. Eye swollen shut, open sores developing on the right side of his head, tingling sensations also in that area. Worst part of all of this is that he's depressed and ready to give up.
Please pray for Jake Bultsma, my Dad, and God's will for him.

I will be more than happy to pray for your father..He is young, and that would depress me also...so here goes, Father in Heaven, Please we come to you today, to ask that you heal this man, this father, and bring him out of his pain and suffering. We pray for a full recovery Father, if that is what you Want Father...We pray through Jesus, that you hear our pleas, and rid this good man of this infection, and bring him closer to you. Father, we praise you and thank you and know that whatever You do, it is what Your plans are and we pray thank You for loving all of us...In Jesus sweet name, Father, Amen

Welcome to AllCoast :)

I`m sorry to hear of your fathers situation.
Both of my parents have had major health issues. Mom had a staph infection and suffered similar symptoms as your father does. Fortunately she recovered from that in a very short time. A year later she was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Nearing the end of her battle my Dad went down with a quadruple by-pass. Dad came through his ordeal with flying colors. Throughout all of this, Prayer was our only consolation giving all of our family members strength to continue on. My Mom prayed everyday for my Dads recovery, most times forgetting her own needs. God gave her the strength, and time, to stay the course while my Dad healed. Not until he was through the hardest part of recovery and close to being able to take care of himself, and knowing we were all there with him for support did she finally let go. To say those were trying times would be an understatement. Prayer is what held our family together, not only from our immediate family members, but from our community of friends too.
There has been quite a run of Allcoast family members in need of prayers as of late and I know the response has been very positive for them. I have sent my prayers for your father and your family.

I truly believe that I speak for the majority of our Allcoast family when I say that we will soldier-up, lean into the load, and help shoulder your burden for as long as it takes.

Prayers here saved my father-in-law from a life-threatening staph infection two years ago. Took months to beat and was very scary. Multiple aggressive surgeries were necessary. Hang on...it can be a long bumpy road. Prayers en route.

Coach,
Texas is ALL IN! And I will also pray for you to be strong and understanding of what we do not know. Hang in there partner.

I just spent the last week in the hospital with my dad for a dub bipass and a valve replacement, Not a easy thing.

Gentlemen, I cannot thank you enough for your replies of promise to pray for my Dad. Thank you all. Keep praying and I'm praying for all of you and yours' well-being in response. FYI, Dad is doing good! The Doc's finally diagnosed 'shingles' instead of staph. He's going to stay in the hospital for awhile longer and then we shall see. For now, my deepest thanks and prayers back at you all.
