when coming up on a spot where someone else is fishing, how do you know what radio channel they are on so you can contact them to ask is you can join?

Usually it depends on what area your in. Long Beach area is ch 69, Newport ch79 Dana point ch 72. But then again some people out there don't have their radios on or they could just be monitoring ch 16, itâ??s a crap shoot.
