http://www.dfg.ca.gov/marine/pdfs/release.pdf In addition to the techniques and tools on the link above, here is a simple but very effective rig I use for sinking rockfish. Please note in reading the link above that the DFG discourages venting with a sharp tool.

Freddie all I can say is "Brilliant". I have tried many variations of that rig.

Can I use the black sea bass needle to pop the air bladder .
