Well, Nate finally had enough suffering, and went home to be with the Lord. Thank you all for the prayers and support, they were much appreciated.
Nathaniel Lee Choate was born July 8th 1980. He had a cleft lip/cleft palate, but had many other handicaps to deal with as well.
He spent the 1st nine months of his life in Neonatal ICU, having many major surgeries. At about 7 months age, we were taken in a room, and explained to that he might not live through his next operation.
So, although he is gone now, we had 27 more years of a positive fun-loving boy who grew up slower than most kids. He was a very good big brother to our younger boys Ben and Dillon. With his handicaps and learning disabilities, he stayed young at heart his whole life.
Yes, I'm very sad he's gone.
But he touched my life in a wonderful way, and I am glad I got to spend 27 more years with him than I thought I ever would get to.
God blessed Nate in a special way, and I'm a better human being for having been around him.
