Looks like I'll be private boating out of San Diego this weekend and looking to have my fishing buddy come down and meet me Firday night. Is it legal to have him park his car with no trailer in the launch ramp parking lot? And what is the smallest (1 day? 2 day?) Mexican fishing licence available? Thanks all. HardFish'n.

Which launch ramp would he be parking at?

Shelter Island has single vehicle parking, just make sure it's for single vehicle - he may return and find it gone if parked illegally.

1 day license are available; Squidco has them.

The others, that I know of:

South Shores (Sea World) and Dana Landing (Mission Bay), both have single car parking enforcement, so don't try to park in the areas meant for a tow vehicle AND trailer, I see so many tickets on single cars taking up space not meant for them.

Make sure that your truck and trailer stay off the lane stripes and park parallel, they'll give out tickets for improper parking. The city needs the money.
