Was out there yesterday fishing for Mako. I saw one Large Mako and that was it. On the way in, I did see some life east of the 270. Very few patties, and none holding Dodos. Believe me I checked after listening to guys on the 14 slam em all afternoon.
I've talked to 2 people earlier that have been in THAT AREA the
last 24 hours, no Dorado . . . YET! One of them had someone they
were in contact with that was still out there looking NOW. A few
off too SBI today may provide further feedback upon their return. ?????
It wouldn't surprise me if a pack of them into the area already.
Just returned from the fishing paddies off the West end of Catalina, to the Osborn, to SBI. Found numerous paddies which were plugged with bait. Saw a nice Marlin chasing bait, could not get him to go. Water temp. 73-74 degrees. Only saw two peanut yellows on one paddy. Total distance traveled 107 miles on 32 gallons of diesel. Not too bad considering diesel at del rey is now $3.99 gallon.
