Sea's where angry but the fish Gods where smiling 8-22 report

Got a strange feeling last night about 10pm. It was the feeling that fish where going to bite this morning. It was strong enough that I got up and went and made bait at 11pm last night even though the weather forcast was crap for today. Hit the "X" spot up at 5am and got 2 fish within a half hr and nothing after that.
Didn't see one corb in the skinny. Both fish where 23 to 24" models. Will post pics in a few. Weather was crap, windy, overcast and cold with a big swell and lots of debris in the water. Still had a blast though ;) 8) . Tight lines, Behdad

Did you stay up all night ? You can store them Sand Crabs. Them Crabs Won't Die! 94 days stored in the back of my VW wagon :tu:

Killer job! I'm going to hit it early AM Sat up here in SB. Same deal, big swell,cloudy but the SC's are finally here, so I'm headed to Santa Claus.
Man, do you always lay your reels in the sand like that? :):\

Thanks guys. Past week or so has been the best big corbina bite I've ever been in. DR, I was actualy sleeping and wolk up to the feeling. The sc bait making spot has been producing great and it only takes about 10min to nab my 50 piece limit of SC's. Not realy a big deal to make'em. It's harder to get up at 3:30am and head to the parking spot and then park and run a mile in the dark with my gear to get to the "X" spot before sunup. Sucks even more running back to the truck on a time dealine. dont want to be late opening the tackle shop. I store my SC's in wet newspaper. I got thru 50sc ever two days so I need to make them frequently. SteveT, Yep [email protected] It's hard to tell in the pics but the reel isn't on the sand. The reel handle is on the sand holding the reel up off it ;)8)

Only the reel handle is touching the sand...and the rod off course. ;)

Nice fish! Way to earn em!!! :tu:
