Used A LineDancer w/my Okuma Rod & Spinner To Bring In 2 & Lose 2 Jacks in 2hr!

Of all the forms of shoreline angling i've tried i love jigging from shore the best. And i spend the least amount of money on my gear. I travel light & cover a large area sometimes 3miles from my car. I take a backpack & recently a 5gal bucket just to sit on while i'm jigging. Several key factors make this work so well for me.

The jigs. I use Tracershot Jigs supplied to me by Mustad. These jigs were engineered for shallow water usage & long castability. Shortly i'll be guinea pigging a new shallow water design here in Hawaii. Right now it's being highlighted to dealers in iCast & other shows till the end of August.

My LineDancer. Bill Stute sent me several units to try many years ago. I'm still using them. When i don't bring & use them i do badly. When i do bring them i'm hooking-up all day. They look simple but boy do they work. In 2hr i drove to my spot, hiked in, caught 2 Jacks which i C&R, hit 2 more that i shook off. Then arrived home. All that in only 2hr because i brought my LineDancers.

I also use good equipment. Okuma's Guide Select Pro at 9'9", the new Limited Edition GT Spinning Reel (only 1,500 were made) spooled with 10lb Eminent Braid by Soft Steel.

For awhile i've been releasing all my catches. So no cooler is needed. I bring a backpack with an energy drink, bottled water, jigs w/pliers, a few apples and my action cameras that are mounted on myself. I travel light. Sometimes i walk far. I meet anglers here & there & they're happy to receive a large Jack or Cuda for dinner.

Shore-based jigging for jacks is a type of fishing technique that is popular among anglers who enjoy targeting jack species such as the Giant Trevally, Amberjack, and Yellowtail. This technique involves casting a lure or jig from the shore into the water and using a rhythmic motion to work the lure back towards the shore, with the goal of enticing a jack to strike.
To be successful at shore-based jigging for jacks, it is important to have the right gear, including a heavy-duty rod and reel, a strong braided line, and a selection of jigs and lures that are designed to mimic the prey that jacks feed on. Anglers also need to have a good understanding of the local tides and water conditions, as jacks tend to be more active during certain times of the day and in certain areas.
It is important to note that shore-based jigging for jacks can be a physically demanding technique, as it often requires casting long distances and working the lure back through the water with a lot of force. It is also important to practice proper catch-and-release techniques to ensure that the jack fishing gear Dubai is able to survive and continue to thrive in its natural habitat.
