I just ordered a custom made 8' by 12' coated netting for a 12 foot squid crowder.
It was around $100- with shipping and tax.
Should be another week or 2 before I get it.
If you don't care if the net is used, try Tally-Ho in San Pedro. They sell nautical "stuff" and misc old boat stuff. The net i've bought in the past was from commercial boats and was in like new condition. They have many mesh sizes and will sell by foot. The shop is on 22nd St, East of Pacific Ave (towards 22 St. Landing.
There's a reason the squid crowder nets are custom . .
Ever try and wrap your arms around a freight train?
You won't hold it very long, that concept applies here.
