These pictures are a couple years old, from a July fishing trip. We started off by getting the skunk off the boat with this

And then we hooked up on this baby

and then we finally landed something substantial

What kind of unusual objects have you guys hooked up on?

Sea lion tip

when one notices that they have inadvertantly hooked a sea lion......

TIGHTEN THE DRAG AND BREAK IT OFF!!!!!!

DUUUUUUUUUUUUUHH!!! :)

unless, of course, you're running low on hooks.

although, after sizing up that hunk of lead, maybe NOT breaking the leader and having the sinker slingshot back at your melon WAS the prudent thing to do after all...or not. LOL

I wasn't running low on hooks, I wanted my lead sinker back,
and you ID'd correctly I DID NOT want to get sling-shot nailed
with the sinker. I also wanted back as much of my line as possible.
In the end I got everything back but my hooks, and scolded the
critter . . . BAD Sea Lion BAD Sea Lion.
