I've been out-of-town every weekend since the water started warming up, but am back this weekend. From what I've seen posted here and elsewhere it seems like the T-Sharks might have moved out of the area. Any information helpfull, trying to plan a trip with my boss aboard and getting skunked is not an option.

I've been telling another guy the same thing that I think happened... they moved out of the area and into people's freezers.

They're vulnerable to extinction, so how many of them could have been here anyway? :p

You never fish T sharks with "expectations" unless you're a glutton for punishment. :p

Too many guys clobbered em here locally over the past two weeks, one of my neighbors took 3 on his boat.

I'm happy with one every two or three years.

Been fishing the local kelps past few weeks. For a few days it was anybodies fishing, no brainer, then they scratched a few out, then nothing really happening.

Safe to say this round is over. Yesterday heard some guys off the hospital but no one was getting to excited.

Good luck if you go. Nothing wrong with a day on the water anyway!:tu:

Not a T-shark expert but I think they've just moved on up the line. Look at the records from years past, bite usually starts south and moves up for a few weeks and then dwindles quickly. Nothing shocking, fish have tails, in this case big ones.

Probably still some fish around OC just not the motherlode so you'll have to look harder. What ya might find easier is the cuda, still better than a skunk though. Good luck!

P.S. By the way, I feel your pain. The T's first bit well locally the day I left on a week long trip and were slim pickens by the time I had finally caught up on work from being away. Usually, a guy could time all the epic bites to corrrespond exactly with my boat being in the shop... :z.....but corresponding to my vacations is a new one to me...Great! :td:
