Hello!

Anyone have any ideas for a good supplier of Shimano parts? I would like to replace the left sideplate on my TN20. I suppose I could send the reel to Shimano, but would like to support a Mom and Pop shop if possible.

Offhand I can't think of any dealer that would stock that part. However, any dealer can order it for you. Ask for part no. TGT 0340. But be prepared for some "sticker shock". The MSRP on that part is $102.59. The dealer might willing to give you a discount but it will still be a very expensive part.

Have you talked to Shimano? If the sideplate is defective or broken it will probably be covered under the warranty. Shimano is very good about this stuff. :tu:

The sideplate is just banged up, not defective in any way. I can't expect Shimano to replace it. I'll try Savon and make sure I'm sitting down when they give me the total price...
