I heard the 2 halibut per day limit in south east alaska has been reinstated.1 to be 32"or less and 1 can be any size. Has any one else heard this or can anyony confirm this Info.

Thanks,
Tom

Just got back from the southeast area, specifically Elfin Cove. On the 11th of June somewhere around the 0900 there was an announcement over the radio stating the limits had changed from one to two with one less than 32" and the other any size. Bear in mind that this was in certain zones. On the outside, the big blue, limits wefre two of any size.

I can confirm this as being true. For area 2C, the limit is back to the same as last year. 2 Halibut per person per day, 1 of which must under 32". The judge has not set a trial date for this issue. So we're all hoping this decision will not change until after all our seasons are over.
