Just talked with Mark at Dave's fuel in Ventura, all the small anchovies have been cleared and he has nice cured sardines available.
Mark opens at 6am.

Hooks has a 60/40 split but the bait is hot with plenty of sardines. They are working on the recievers but should be good for Sat am and open at 5am!!!

Jim at CI Bait just got a load of Sardines yesterday, should be good for Sat - they open at 4am.

Fuel is 2.65 for red dye at the card key place on Vinyard.

Rock and Roll!!!!!!

Thank you for a timely update Jim!
Man I'd hate to roll in to Ventura and go through that 40 dollar CRAP!
Maybe I should launch elsewhere and takes the 30 other boats there also?

Well, we all been fishing up here for 15 years plus, nobody chargers more tha 15 for a half and 20 for a full. We also don't buy squid up here much unless in a real pinch.

There is a pretty loyal group up here willing to support whoever provides the best available bait like Larry in SMB who has not raised his rates in 20 years and alway has the best bait.

I hear there maybe another reciever in Ventura soon.

For us trailer guys it's easy,

Actually, Larry hasn't raised his prices in 12 years.
12 years might as well be 20 years though.

Well, the red dye rate at Daves fuel dock is a thing of the past that left with Gary. Fueled up the other day and payed $2.92 with tax for red dye.

Pacific Pride at Vinyard is 2.83 with tax so those of us with trailers can hit it on the way.

Forget CIH @ 3.24 C and 3.35 for rec,

I got wind Larry may be raising his prices to 20 for a half sccop and 30 for a full scoop.
I'll have to validate it though.
I'm sure it will be culture shock for some.
That's like not getting a raise for 12 years.
How the BLEEP he continues to do it and get by I have no idea.
I'm guessing it would go into affect after the SUMMER period.
