I've tried dropper loops, fly lining squid or sardine and a hook ahead of an egg sinker or without the sinker. I've also tried a long leader with a swivel above the egg sinker about 18" long. I know there are many methods but i'm sure some of you guys and gals have some things that work better than others. I usually use an egg sinker with about a 2/0 hook so the bait can swim as free as possible. I would appreciate a good YT set up?

Pick yourself up a glow in the dark or chartruese leadhead. Go to the bait tank and grab the nicest meatiest live squid you can find. Take it ever so gently in your hand then with great care slam it on the deck as hard as you can and thread it over the leadhead twice and drop it down. There you have one of the finest WSB baits you can find. :p

When fishing the grounds, 40lb line, a white Tady jig, 4/0 or 45 and a fresh dead squid.

When fishing shallow, Shimano reel, Calstar 850L and 20 lb line and a leadhead with a fresh dead squid. Dead squid has always worked better for me!

what he said. the dreamer uses small tady jigs with a glow back and pin on a couple dead squid for their WSB. i also use white tady 45 lites with a few squid on the hook. bounce it on the bottom and crank up and let it flutter down. next is bendo.

hithard hit it on the nail. i have heard that the bigger white seabass want an easy meal, thus the squirt with a concussion. i wonder if they want finbait the same way. they are not like yellowtail that want a liveliest bait.
