I'm planning a trip next month and was wondering what to expect in the near shore (1 to 3 mi) and further offshore areas, say out to 20 miles. I was thinking of trying some of the reefs for bottom fish but saw that some of them are closed to certain kinds of fishing. I can't find a listing of what's OK where and what's not. To keep out of trouble can I troll these areas or is it off limits to do that too. It's going to cost me enough to trailer my boat from Pennsylvania without the added cost of paying a fine for an innocent mistake.
