Where can you buy live squid bait around Channel Island Harbor? All we can ever get from the Channel Island Sportfishing Center is anchovies and sardines.

Is there a floating squid boat out near the islands that sell to private boaters?

Thanks,

Not to often they have live squid for sale. Call the landings that sell bait and ask. The best thing is to have some squid jigs and make bait, alot out their right now. Don't know if the Outerbanks is out during the week, but last weekend he was the man.

Aside from jigging and floating it yourself, Outer Banks is going to be your best bet. Or make buddys with someone who went out the night before and has extra.

However, these seabass have been eating the fresh dead as well. We had no problems catching them on stuff that wasn't even alive on Friday.

Okay, now I feel really stupid... didn't know that "Outer Banks" was the name of a local bait boat. Where does she dock? Is there a phone number to reach the captain by?

Thanks,
George
