Uses The Same Blank As The Rockaway Surf Rods But Was Made Lighter By Using Different Components Like a Split Grip!
When i go surf casting the reef & sand flats i bring my Nesika Surf Rods. I use the 9ft for estuary mud flats & the 12ft for open ocean reef & sand flats. I've hooked GT's to Sharks & Rays. I normally target Jacks & Bonefish. After introducing the Rockaway Surf Rod for the Sea Perch anglers of Oregon Okuma re-introduced a Surf Rod for the Hawaiian market by changing the components to slightly reduce the weight. The most significant change was having a split-grip handle.
