I'm looking for a light (1/8th oz) leadhead with a big, tempered & sharp hook for fishing squid in the shallows. Arky? At least a 5/0 size hook of owner quality. My local stores in So. OC don't stock any light leadheads w/ big hooks. Suggestions?

Hd call Owner Hooks and ask them if they make them . If not could they make you some special ones just for you and anyone else that thinks he or she would have a reason to fish them.

Savon Tackle probably has what you want, but they're in Santa Fe Springs. Try calling Fisherman's Hardware in HB. They used to be affiliated and should carry similar stock. They are 1/4 oz white heads with Mustad hooks. Owners have to be painted.

I think those white banana heads start at 1/4 oz.

You can always just use the hook of your choice (I like a 5/0 Owner SSW) with a pegged 1/8 oz bullet sinker (for freshwater bassin').
