I'm looking at getting a new boat (No Worries #3). My first boat was a 25' cabin cruiser, my second boat a 21 Walk-around cuddy. Now I'm looking for a flybridge to be my boat that fits me just right (or until I run into some obscene amount of cash to spend).
So any thoughts on these boats? The one I'm looking at is a single engine--which I'm considering just repowering (probably stay with gas) as the engine being almost 30 years old it's gotta go.
Here's some of my thoughts:
1) Strip it down and take it to ensenada to have it painted. Is it worth stripping it down first? Any recommendations on where to take it?
2) Repower--any recommendations? Can I get that done in ensenada too? or should I do it local? any motor recommendations? Besides reliability, I'm hoping a newer motor will get me better fuel economy.
3) Any gotchas I should look out for when I inspect it?
Thanks,
